Hi, I’m Kiran!
But you can call me Ki (key).
I am an Ayurvedic nutritionist, chef, nutritional health coach and educator.
High cholesterol and blood pressure…
PCOS, insulin resistance, obesity…
Chronic knee, back and neck pain…
Prediabetes…
You name it, and I'm sure I've lived through it.
In 2015, my health was in a downward spiral. Between my husband and myself, we had racked up a long list of chronic illnesses and autoimmune disorders. We were both vegetarian, and I was convinced we were eating a healthy diet overall. So when my doctor told me I was insulin resistant, instead of taking it as a wake-up call, I chalked it up to my genes and family history. I was very comfy in my rut and definitely not ready to climb out of it yet.
But in the summer of 2015, everything changed.
One of my loved ones was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. I was devastated to see the effects of the illness starting to take hold of her. She was a busy professional, mother of two young children, and wife, I knew it would be a stretch for her to prepare all her own healthy meals in addition to those for the rest of her family while trying to recover her health.
And suddenly I realized that my lifelong love affair with cooking now had a purpose.Â
I started working with her, cooking all of her meals from Dr. Terry Wahls protocol (vegetarian version). This wake-up call also shook me into action about my own and my husband’s health.
I began to read as much information as I could on the curative abilities of eating whole foods. Through my studies I started learning about the benefits of anti-inflammatory foods and how food combining impacts the nutritional effects of what we eat (umm… did you know you’re not supposed to combine bananas with milk? I never knew that before!). What I learned was eye-opening and had a major impact on what I cooked.
The results of the tweaks we made to my loved one’s diet were amazing: within 6 months of converting to the anti-inflammatory diet, her MS had gone into remission!Â
My husband and I also saw great results. We had both lost our excess weight and were no longer obese. And when I say we lost weight, I mean my husband lost 72lbs, 30 of them from diet change alone, and I dropped from a size 16 to a 9! Our chronic ailments and autoimmune disorders had either been reversed or minimized to the point that we no longer had any symptoms of them. We had more energy. We had less stress. And most importantly, we had more joy.
The experience was so eye opening and transforming, that I knew I had to share it with the world, and so Ki’s Kitchen was born!Â

Let's work together
If you've been recently diagnosed with a form of chronic illness/chronic inflammation or autoimmune disorders, it can seem like a lonely world. You feel like a burden to everyone around you. You’re tired, irritable, and more often than not, in some sort of constant pain, whether sharp or dull. We were all of the above. But we also discovered that there was a way out! You too don’t have to accept this as your new normal.
While I can help with a wide variety of chronic illnesses and autoimmune disorders, my specialties are pre-diabetes, type 2 diabetes, multiple sclerosis, everything that is related to your digestive system (IBS, GERD/acid reflux, diverticulitis, Colitis, etc.), cancer nutrition, fatty liver and heart health (blood pressure/triglycerides/cholesterol).
